Естественная циркуляция вирусов папилломы человека у мужчин – что о ней известно?

Аннотация
Вирусы папилломы человека (ВПЧ) до настоящего времени привлекают к себе внимание биологов и врачей в первую очередь в связи с тем, что ряд представителей этой группы вызывают рак шейки матки у женщин. Вместе с тем очевидно, что в циркуляции этих вирусов в популяции участвуют как женщины, так и мужчины. Накапливаются данные о том, что имеется ряд особенностей в распространении ВПЧ среди мужчин по сравнению с женщинами, а также о том, что онкогенные ВПЧ вызывают рак в некоторых органах и у мужчин. Настоящая работа представляет собой попытку обобщения данных литературы об особенностях распространения ВПЧ у мужчин. Уяснение этих различий важно для разработки эффективных мер профилактики ВПЧ-ассоциированных новообразований с учетом гендерных особенностей.
